These thoughtful reflections on the timelessness of Fairy Tales were a result of a journal prompt asking students to reflect directly on the essential question, "What makes fairy tales timeless?" The prompt was given at the end of the unit, so the students' thoughts served as a type of summative assessment that revealed their grasp on the thematic aspects and general importance of the unit. I was suprised yet pleased so see so many unique and meaningful interpretations of the question at hand.
